Our Current Projects
Right now, TELTA Mwanza is focused on 2 projects:
1) Strengthening our regional network of English clubs at O-level secondary schools and hosting competitions for the highest achieving students at these clubs. Our first competition included 18 students from 6 secondary schools, our second included 16 students from 8 secondary schools, our third included 35 students from 21 secondary schools, and our fourth competition involved over a hundred students from 35 secondary schools.
2) Offering regular trainings for the teachers at our partner schools and elsewhere in Mwanza. Some are conducted by TELTA Mwanza Members, and others are facilitated discussions of American English Webinars. Please contact us at [email protected] to find out about our next training opportunity.

Resources
TELTA Mwanza has created this website to offer a centralized resource to help teachers and learners of English in Mwanza. Part of how we do this is by including on this page some of our favorite online and downloadable resources for teaching English, for running successful English clubs, and for learning English. Click the black button below to visit our resources page.
Exchange Programs
We also use this website to offer a central location for information about study abroad programs available to Tanzanian students, teachers, and community leaders. This list does not include every single exchange program that exists, but it does contain many; if you are interested in participating in exchange programs, this is a good place for you to start. Click the black button below to learn more about these opportunities.
